How Food Safety Can Save You Money

Originally Aired: April 17th at 12pm CST

In the fast-paced food industry, some companies try to cut corners on safety to save time and money.

But that can be a very costly mistake.

Food safety guidelines help protect consumers from contaminants and shield companies from the costly fallout of safety failures.

In this on-demand Rootwurks webinar, you can hear Stacey Brown, Food Safety Auditor and Consultant with ASI Food Safety, discuss the importance of food safety measures and how they can help protect consumers, employees - and your bottom line.

About this Webinar

Food Safety guidelines can require significant time and effort to implement in the workplace - even before factoring in the time needed to train employees.

However, overlooking these guidelines can be far more costly. From the possibility of (very expensive) product recalls to running afoul of legal and regulatory requirements, food safety guidelines go a long way towards helping companies protect their name and reputation, as well as their profit margins.

In this Rootwurks webinar, Stacey Brown, Food Safety Auditor and Consultant with ASI Food Safety discusses the benefits of food safety measures and how they can protect a company and its customers while also helping save money.

Stacey Brown - Consultant and Author | ASI Food Safety

Stacey Brown is a cGMP and SQF Food Safety Auditor at ASI Food Safety with a career in food spanning over 15 years. Stacey has seamlessly transitioned from product development roles with household brands such as Pepperidge Farm, King’s Hawaiian, and Nestle to her current position as a PCQI and HACCP Certified Lead Auditor and food safety consultant.

Stacey is a passionate advocate for food safety and ASI’s go-to mentor for fellow SQF auditors looking to improve their understanding of food safety certification and advance their industry experience. Since she didn’t come from food safety like most auditors, Stacey has a unique view of the challenges for food producers, allowing her the perspective to help organizations solve even the most complex food safety problems. Stacey’s leadership in the food industry was applauded in 2024, when SQF Institute named her a finalist for the 2024 ‘SQF Auditor of the Year.’

When she’s not helping manufacturers across the country provide the safest possible product to their consumers, Stacey can be found in the kitchen baking her own concoctions or crafting the final pages of her cookbook. When it’s time to re-charge her mental battery, Stacey enjoys binge-watching hockey and spending quality time with family and friends.
