ON-DEMAND WEBINAR

What Can Minnesota Expect from Cannabis Legalization?

Originally aired: July 26th at 12pm CST

This summer, Minnesota will become the 23rd state to legalize adult-use cannabis.

The bill that made its way through the legislature and to the desk of Governor Tim Walz in May could create one of the more unique and compelling legal cannabis markets in the country.

In this on-demand Rootwurks webinar, you can hear two experts discuss what they expect from cannabis legalization in Minnesota and why sometimes it can pay to be 23rd.

About this Webinar

"We've known for too long that prohibiting the use of cannabis hasn't worked. By legalizing adult-use cannabis, we're expanding our economy, creating jobs, and regulating the industry to keep Minnesotans safe," Governor Tim Walz said in May as he signed legal cannabis into law in Minnesota.

The Minnesota Recreational Cannabis bill legalizes adult-use cannabis, with sales expected to begin in the first quarter of 2025.

From licensing fees to taxes, the bill includes a number of features that could make Minnesota one of the more fascinating legal cannabis markets in the country.

In this on-demand Rootwurks webinar, Jason Tarasek of cannabis law firm Vicente LLP and Josh Maslowski of  Stigma discuss the compelling aspects of legalization in Minnesota and what we can expect from the state's future legal retail cannabis market.
